For our 13th release, 5 and Dime Recordings are proud to welcome our good friend Hipp-E to our ranks. As 1/2 of the iconic H-Foundation, Hipp-E's name and patented yet ever-evolving sound as a solo artist have become synonymous with the very best of what house music is and has been over the course of his storied career. His resume as a DJ includes a residency at Fabric London, numerous gigs at Turbo Toronto, Zouks Singapore, Soma Glasgow, as well as continued tours that include stops around the world, in cities I've legitimately never heard of. On the production side, his solo work has been featured on the likes of NRK, SOMA, Product Deluxe, Siesta, Tango, and...well, you get the point. Basically if you've been a fan of house music at all in the last decade or two, more than likely this fella has influenced what you're hearing in one shape or another. Truth In Depth features three originals from Hipp-E, ranging from the deep side of tech house to the west coast style of house that have made his production almost immediately recognizable. 5D013 is also complimented by stellar remixes from fellow ROOTS Events resident Greg Eversoul, as well as 5 and Dime favorite Zach DeVincent.This EP has been many months in the making, and we're proud to finally release it...even if we can't tell you what the fuck GSMF stands for.
