For Deep Site Space #12, we welcome the debut from Edinburgh’s REMOTE PERSONA. And what a seasoned and established sounding debut it is indeed! Right from the very first minutes of the first original track, TABULA RASA, you can hear in the sonorous bassline combined with the stab and kick that something very special is about to occur. And it does in the form of a descending melody combined with saxophone washes, subtle orchestration, and percussive edges. This mesmerizing mind-warp 4am warehouse vibe continues right into the next original track, STATE OF MIND. Heavy cavernous kicks, shadowy clouded chords, and a menacing bassline is rounded out with sweet pads and bongos fury. Next up is our man from Dallas, DEMARKUS LEWIS, whose remix State Of Mind completely reconstructs the deep chords, adds a new bassline, and sets the focus straight at the dancefloor. And this emphasis on the funk continues on the final State Of Mind Remix from ADRIAN DURAN. Utilizing bouncy two-step hats and snares combined with a driving kick and fluid bassline, the mix morphs half way through with the addition of a second bass-stab which takes the track to another funky level.
