Rishi K - Smoke & Mirrors EP
This EP opens up with the resplendent and melodious title track, Smoke And Mirrors. Its driving rhythmical work coupled with a pulsing bassline adds prominence to its deep synth lines and delayed washes. Harold Heath takes his remix into late-night dance territory by redefining the main melodic structure with sonorous stabs while adding a funkier emphasis and a wicked bassline. The Matt Prehen Remix exemplifies a darker and techier dance-space, providing the bottom end lovers with resounding bass, kick, and percussive swagger joined to sharp organ and Rhodes stabs. On the subterranean tip, the Koala Remix bounces along quite spritely with tight keyboard overhauls and a warm layering of cosmic sounds. Finally, we have another original from Rishi, the cinematic Lifeline. Shimmering keys and funky synth lines fill the air as deft percussion and drums tighten this jam up into an almost Detroit electro homage at times.
EP will be released on 19th of May.
