Between Stars meets Barcelona is the 2nd final single release from the brilliant debut album from Barcelona based Maurice Aymard. Concentrating on home grown Barcelona talent, we get 6 new interpretations from artist working closely with both of Aymards label co-ops Galaktika and Apersonal.
Usmev starts with his remix of 'Dead' feat Colorado with a stabby house belter which needs time to evolve, but like a fine wine, need some time and opens up when the vocals of guest vocalist Colorado hits.
Visionquest faves Moren & Baffa drops a tougher beat and creates a dubbier affair of Different Channels featuing Andrea Olarte
Next up is hot Barcelona new comer Aiby who transforms the Gui Boratto collab 'Home' into a dirty warehouse jam with a bumping bassline and driving beat, classic material.
Did Rec owner Greencross takes us on a techno ride with his version of Between Stars, mixing in the sweet piano chords into a thundering 909 workout with some jazzy notes. Vocalis and musicians Bjerk Peterson turns Asunto de Amor feat Paulo Olarte into a balearic belter which keeps growing before turning into a dub jam, excellent work from this young producer.
Last but not least fellow Venezuelan and Apersonal artist Gota Rai takes a nod towards early Nuphonic with his version of Between Stars which perfectly ends this varied and well crafted EP.
