Swankout - Want U

We are pleased to welcome Swankout as the newest member of the Daylight Robbery family.

A producer that refuses to be pigeonholed with his sound, infusing elements from house and garage to techno and jungle, a reflection of his diverse influences growing up in the scene. Swankout is fresh from releasing his Basic Principles EP on Deep Freeze records and has more releases upcoming on imprints such as Whats Your Status? Records.
Support has come from afar after being championed by Hostage and Hanna Wants, with airplay on Radio 1 Xtra and Rinse FM. Having also played with the likes of Pete Tong and Annie Mac to Plump DJs and Krafty Kuts, Swankout is a producer to watch closely.

Organ-ism harks back to the old school with soft filtered melodies dancing their way through crisp percussion and a vintage vocal encouraging everybody to rise up. The song then unleashes its true nature as the rolling bass drives through providing strong momentum.

The title track Want You again showcases the delicate balance of melody that Swankout is fast becoming known for. The softly trodden synths contrasting with the brooding moody bass to create an atmospheric sound that would be at home in the club and on the beach at 6am.

A Lister has been building a serious name for himself, remixing on Love Not Money and Resonance to name a few, as well as gaining support from the likes of Huxley, Roger Sanchez and Ejeca. He takes Want You to a different place, a different time. Potent stabs of the synth combine with the melodic nature of the original, with a bass and percussion that relentlessly drive the track forward, this is a dance floor destroyer.

Clouded Judgement have been making waves with their sound over the last couple of years. With support from Radio 1 Xtra and Rinse FM and with releases on the likes of CUFF, King Street Sounds and Nastyfunk its not hard to see why. They take Organ-ism and go well off the beaten track. The big room vocal leads you forward into an unsuspecting breakdown of liquid composition. Sure to completely switch the tone and take any night up a level or three.
