When we first heard his sound, we knew there was a match. D’Phault has a soft touch to the techy components of his productions that linger ghostlike with the listener like an echo with an edge. D’Phault is a self-taught pianist from Johannesburg, South Africa, and we are pleased to welcome him to the Blindfold Recordings family with his first release Nonchalant. Pete Oak is on vocals on the title track and also delivers a remix for this package. The second remix is done by a Copenhagen local kid who now goes under the name Baime.
